If you are a current patient and are taking medication prescribed by a First State Orthopaedics physician, you may call during office hours Monday through Friday for a refill request or to explain problems you may be having with your medication. Please have your information ready when you call such as name, date of birth, name of medication, dosage, and name of your pharmacy. If a nurse or physician assistant is not able to take your call, your call may be sent to voice mail. All medication refills need an FSO physician’s approval. Please note that we will not refill prescriptions on the weekend or after hours, so it is important that you call us early in the week if you are close to being out of your medication. Most narcotic medications cannot be refilled over the phone.
Once we have confirmed your request, please allow 48 hours for the prescription to be refilled.
