Dr. Fisher received his medical degree from West Virginia University. He completed his internship and residency training at the University of Maryland and R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. During residency, he received special training in pediatric spine surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and assisted in a magnitude of complex revision and spine trauma surgeries at the University of Maryland/Shock Trauma Center and the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Hospital. Following residency, Dr. Fisher completed a prestigious spine fellowship at The Texas Back Institute in Dallas, Texas, where he received training in spine surgery from both orthopaedic surgeons and neurosurgeons. Additionally, he received specialized training in minimally invasive spine surgery, artificial disc replacement, complex revision, and spinal deformity surgery.
